QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. At least 6 months of business office experience, preferably in the life insurance industry
  3. Demonstrated good typing skills
  4. Strong attention to detail
  5. Strong written, oral, and verbal communication skills
  6. Demonstrated experience in juggling multiple tasks simultaneously in an environment of continual interruption
  7. Demonstrated PC knowledge, including but not limited to mainframe, Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows operating systems
  8. Ability to recognize and adjust work patterns to facilitate departmental projects and priorities
  9. Ability to comprehend and calculate basic actuarial policy calculations preferred.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Process and oversee a wide range of policy support functions for the Customer Service & Claims teams
  2. Direct responsibility for general DEFRA/TAMRA signals, Premium Deposit Fund admin, policy dividend distribution, maintenance & administration, time driven & notification report processing
  3. Provide ongoing back-up of support tasks including suspense balancing, SOX administration, anti-money laundering, credit & social services inquires
  4. Process credit reports for Social Services, State/County Welfare Departments, Financial Institutions, Legal, Auditing and Marketing Departments
  5. Assist with policy death claim validation and beneficiary contact information
  6. Provide backup for policy address & return mail administration
  7. Other department support duties as directed.
