About the Opportunity: FedTec is looking for a highly motivated and self-starting Cyber Security Manager to provide quality support, maintenance, and management of Cyber Security and Information Awareness programs.

Position: Cyber Security Manager

Work Location: On-Site - Fort Detrick, MD

Clearance: MUST HAVE verifiable Secret Clearance

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site expert technical and functional support/solutions, problem analysis, and recommendation analysis, development of white papers or other documentation, workshop facilitation, in order to meet or exceed the requirements of the USAMRDC IASO.
  • Provide technical assistance for network administrative staff, incident handling and information assurance/security awareness training;
  • Update the Vulnerability Tracking Resource Tool, conduct security data calls, Contingency of Operations Plan (COOP);
  • Implement Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) dissemination, reporting, compliance, and verification procedures
  • Ensure implementation of periodic security inspections, assessments, tests, and reviews
  • Establish data ownership and responsibilities (including accountability, access, and special handling requirements) for each IS.
  • Verify that Cyber personnel are maintaining and auditing access and log data.
  • Assist the IAM/DCSIM in identifying and validating Cyber resource requirements.
  • Provide input to the IAM for management controls.
  • Provide RMF control validation on USAMRDC system accreditation packages.
  • Aid USAMRDC staff in-processing the organization
  • Participate in Command Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs).
  • Verify that Cyber personnel are maintaining and auditing access and log data.
  • Assist the IAM in identifying and validating IA resource requirements
  • Provide input to the IAM for management controls.
  • Respond to calls for support primarily from the MEDCOM/DHA, Fort Detrick, AMC and AFC Help Desks
  • Interact with the Help Desks and support staff of other DoD, Army, and other mission partners, as well as the ones previously mentioned
  • Interact with DCSIM staff, to provide assistance in resolving issues as they may arise.
  • Respond to Data Calls, in response to IAVA's ports and protocols, or other DoD, ARMY, AMC, AFC or internal directives, and complete documentation as requested and required

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Cybersecurity Management or related role.
  • Min of Bachelor's Degree in Comp/Sci, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related discipline.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Cybersecurity including industry standard for requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a number of technical and programmatic tasks concurrently
