We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. This role will involve safeguarding enterprise applications and systems through proactive risk assessments, vulnerability testing, incident response, and continuous monitoring. The ideal candidate will have experience in security analysis, risk management, compliance, and secure coding practices-and a passion for protecting critical data and infrastructure from emerging threats.

Job Description:

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for protecting digital assets and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical information systems. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a key role in identifying security vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and implementing solutions that enhance the organization's security posture.

The Cybersecurity Analyst will also work closely with development and IT teams to promote secure coding practices, guide system hardening efforts, and support compliance with industry standards and data privacy regulations. The Cybersecurity Analyst will contribute to disaster recovery planning, documentation, and training to build a resilient security environment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and code analysis to identify and remediate security risks.

  • Perform ongoing risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to prevent future threats.

  • Investigate security breaches and incidents, determine root causes, and implement appropriate countermeasures.

  • Implement, configure, and maintain security tools such as firewalls, encryption systems, intrusion detection, and antivirus solutions.

  • Collaborate with software developers to promote secure coding standards and assist in the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

  • Provide security awareness training to users, developers, and IT staff.

  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards and security best practices, maintaining up-to-date documentation for policies and procedures.

  • Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime during critical incidents.

  • Monitor systems for suspicious activity, perform forensic analysis, and recommend improvements to enhance resilience.

  • Prepare detailed security reports and dashboards for leadership and compliance audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity principles.

  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and incident response.

  • Knowledge of firewalls, encryption, antivirus, and intrusion prevention systems.

  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) and compliance standards.

  • Experience with secure coding practices and code review processes.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly valued.
