Our client, a leading organization in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a Cybersecurity Coordinator to join their team. As a Cybersecurity Coordinator, you will be part of the Information Security Department supporting cross-functional teams including IT, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance. Job Title: Cybersecurity Coordinator Location: Altavista, VA Pay Range: $45 per hour What's the Job? Design and implement secure architectures to protect digital assets, systems, and infrastructure. Perform comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability testing. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, NIST, FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS. Monitor cybersecurity threats, develop mitigation strategies, and respond to incidents effectively. Collaborate with engineering and development teams to embed cybersecurity controls throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within regulated industries such as food, healthcare, or medical devices. Experience with cloud security, network protocols (SSL/TLS, VPNs, IPsec), and secure cloud-based applications. Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks like SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA cybersecurity guidance.
