Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryThis position supports cybersecurity operations for complex C5ISR systems, focusing on protecting IT infrastructure, applications, and networks in a mission-critical environment. The role involves implementing security controls, conducting vulnerability assessments, supporting incident response, and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards and policies.Key ResponsibilitiesRecommend and implement hardware, software, and network security solutionsAdminister, configure, and support secure IT infrastructure, including operating systems, networks, and applicationsApply and manage STIG checklists across multiple technologies and develop cybersecurity policies and standard operating proceduresReview Windows, Linux, cloud, network, and application STIGs, DoD SRGs, and vendor hardening guidesConduct ACAS vulnerability scans and generate reports with remediation recommendationsContinuously monitor systems and applications for changes impacting security postureProvide daily cybersecurity operational supportCreate, track, and report audit metrics and findings to the appropriate security leadershipSupport investigations of cybersecurity incidents and potential breachesAnalyze multiple data sources to identify indicators of compromisePrepare reports outlining findings, risks, and recommended actionsStay current on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and detection methodsDevelop scripts using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages to automate repetitive tasksCollaborate with other cybersecurity engineers to resolve security issues and develop scalable security solutionsRequired Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurityAt least 3 years of experience in malware analysis, digital forensics, or intrusion detectionAt least 2 years of experience using tools such as FTK, Wireshark, Autopsy, or similar technologiesMinimum of 1 year of experience developing code in languages such as Python, Lua, C/C++, Ruby, or similarIAT Level I certificationActive Secret security clearancePreferred QualificationsIAT Level II or III certificationBachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical field
