Overview Cybersecurity Engineer Job Summary: As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing our security posture and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security weaknesses Respond to security incidents and breaches, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats, utilizing SIEM tools Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all systems and processes Provide training and support to staff on security awareness and best practices Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, such as NIST and CMMC Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel for security management, monitoring, and endpoint protection solutions Ability to analyze and assess security threats and vulnerabilities Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA, GCIH) are a plus Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
