We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Manager to lead and manage both the technical and analytical aspects of IT security within PBGC's complex IT environment. This senior-level role requires expertise in IT operational security, incident response, compliance with Federal cybersecurity regulations, and security controls documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity management, including both technical and regulatory domains, ensuring that our IT infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and resilient.
- Oversee IT operational security, including the management of security systems, tools, and incident response protocols.
- Manage and oversee the analytical aspects of IT security, including audit response, control documentation, implementation, and Federal cybersecurity regulation compliance.
- Lead and manage security operations and analytical requirements to maintain the security integrity of a complex IT environment.
- Communicate effectively through quality oral and written reports on IT security operations and analytical security requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop, implement, and improve security policies and procedures.

- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- ITIL Foundation or Practitioner v.4 certification
- DevSecOps FoundationSM certification from the DevOps Institute

- Strongly Preferred:
- 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a Federal environment (either as a contractor or Federal employee).
- Proven experience managing both operational and analytical aspects of IT security in large, complex environments.

- Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills relevant to IT security operations and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in cybersecurity.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and lead cross-functional security initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee IT security operations or analytical security requirements in broad and complex environments.
- Extensive experience in communicating security needs and regulations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
