Cybersecurity Specialist - II

Spectrum Comm Inc is looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist - II to join our team in support of critical cybersecurity operations. In this pivotal role, you will implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's computer networks and systems. Your responsibilities will include monitoring network traffic for suspicious behavior, implementing security solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network security systems for potential threats and investigate security incidents.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify weaknesses in systems.
  • Install and configure security software and hardware for protection of network infrastructure.
  • Provide training and support to staff on information security practices and policies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design secure infrastructure and application solutions.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Intermidiate years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
  • In-depth understanding of security protocols, concepts, and best practices.
  • Experience in performing system audits and security assessments.
  • Familiarity with security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection, anti-virus software, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Certifications:

  • Preferably hold industry-recognized certifications such as Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a Top Secret Security Clearance
