We are seeking a Data and Systems Analyst with a strong technical background and expertise in Microsoft Transact SQL to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into actionable specifications, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of system implementations. You will play a crucial role in database-related tasks, data analysis, and quality assurance, helping to design and implement solutions that support data-driven decision-making and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate high-level business requirements into precise technical specifications and detailed user stories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Document complex business processes by creating comprehensive technical requirements that facilitate accurate system implementation.
- Conduct pre-deployment quality assurance to ensure solutions meet all requirements and adhere to industry best practices before release.
- Collaborate proactively with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements, maintaining alignment across teams.
- Write and optimize queries using Microsoft Transact SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting, supporting efficient database operations and analysis.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for technical requirements, process flows, and system designs, ensuring that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of project specifications.
- Lead and facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements, discuss technical solutions, and gather iterative feedback for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, architects, and technical staff, to design, test, and implement solutions that meet evolving business needs.
- Perform data analysis and modeling to identify trends, support business decision-making, and uncover opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
- Ensure technical solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, upholding data integrity, security, and scalability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a minimum of 2 years working directly with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Transact SQL, with proven experience in writing and optimizing complex queries to support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in Tableau or similar data visualization tools, with a track record of building and maintaining impactful reports for various business needs.
- Experience with requirements management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar, to effectively document and manage project requirements.
- Demonstrated achievements in previous roles, with strong analytical skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and a hands-on approach to tackling challenges.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments, with a readiness to embrace change, meet evolving business demands, and take on ambitious goals.
