Job Summary:
- Guidewire Billing Center Data Analyst is responsible for prepare, analyse, and interpret data to provide insights, often focusing on predictive modelling and business outcomes.
- Key responsibilities include extensive knowledge of Guidewire data models (Policy Center, Claim enter, Billing Center), SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and support business objectives.
Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Analyse complex datasets, identify trends, and prepare data for predictive modelling and other machine learning projects.
- Guidewire Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of Guidewire data models (PC, BC, CC) to understand data origins, perform data mapping, and integrate data with other systems.
- Technical Skills: Utilize expert SQL skills to write and optimize queries for extracting, transforming, and loading data. Experience with tools like DBT is also a plus.
- Collaboration: Work with various teams, including Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Data Warehouse teams, to align on data needs and provide solutions.
- Data Quality: Evaluate internal systems for issues and inaccuracies, developing protocols for data handling, processing, and cleaning.
- Insight Communication: Clearly communicate insights derived from data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)
- Guidewire Billing Center Knowledge: Extensive experience with Guidewire Billing Center data models is essential.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices.
- Insurance Domain: Deep experience in the insurance domain, especially with property and casualty (P&C) insurance, is crucial.
- Data Profiling & Analysis: Expert skills in data profiling and basic statistical analysis.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders, including customers and business analysts.
Nice to Have; (But not a must)
- BI Tools: Experience with reporting and business intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Machine Learning (ML): Understanding of NLP and other machine learning techniques.
- DBT: Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT)
