Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 per year

Job Summary:

The Data Analyst will be integral in interpreting data and turning it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions. The Data Analyst gathers information from various sources and interprets patterns and trends once data has been gathered and interpreted, the Data Analyst will report back what has been found in a comprehensive study to the broader business/relevant colleagues.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect, process, and perform statistical analyses on large datasets.
  • Discover patterns and trends in structured and unstructured data.
  • Analyze data and generate actionable insights for business improvements.
  • Create visual representations of data, such as charts and graphs, to better showcase what the data reveals.
  • Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to implement and refine data strategies.
  • Utilize automation and machine learning tools to optimize data retrieval and analytics processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analytics activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven Interest and/or experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in databases and statistical packages.
  • Data visualization and reporting skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Time management and project management skills.
  • Proficient in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds.
  • Continual learning mindset to keep up with the latest industry trends and tools.
