REMOTE / 95-105K / SQL - POWER BI / EASTERN TIME ZONE

You will help develop and deploy various analytics deliverables, including, but not limited to, complex reporting, dashboards and visualizations, benchmarking, scorecarding, predictive modeling, data mining and other advanced analytics. Critical to this role is the ability to partner with the business and subject matter experts in order to understand context, business rules, exceptions, and derive value from our data. 

Responsibilities

·        Develop expert knowledge in various areas of the business in order to foster a data partnership with stakeholders

·        Develop expert knowledge in data lineage within our systems, platforms, and integrations

·        Design, develop and deploy complex reporting, dashboards and visualizations, benchmarking, scorecarding, predictive modeling, data mining and other advanced analytics

·        Partner with and provide consultation to business stakeholders regarding analytics, understanding their needs, and how to interpret findings

·        Requirements gathering from stakeholders in order to ensure deliverables match and exceed expectations

·        Translate user requirements into technical specifications, understating interaction with and reliance on upstream systems, as well as impact on downstream systems

·        Lead various workshops and training sessions

·        Develop data validation rules and checklist across data assets in order to ensure accuracy

·        Perform data validation of current data assets

·        Review current data assets in order to identify opportunities for standardization (look and fell, as well as branding)

·        Create and maintain documentation library including asset inventory, instructions, guidelines, training material, Glossary of Terms, and FAQs

Qualifications

·        Minimum 5 years of experience working with reporting, dashboards, and other visualization tools

·        Minimum 5 years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional organization

·        Minimum 3 years of experience working with analytical and modeling software

·        Minimum 3 years of experience in requirements gathering and interpretation, with the ability to offer guidance and counsel to stakeholders

·        Minimum 2 years of experience working with cross-functional technical teams

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

·        Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

·        Proven in-depth understanding of data analytics, interpretation methods and best practices

·        Demonstrated excellence in analytical outcomes, including reporting, dashboards and other visualizations, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics

·        Ability to effectively communicate analytical insights to a non-technical audience

·        Experience communicating with internal & external partners

·        Ability to perform and conclude complex data investigations

·        Proven expertise in data interpretation and sifting through data “noise”

·        Uncompromising quality standards, with a relentless pursuit of excellence while championing the data agenda

·        3+ years of experience working with SQL

·        Experience with ETL, APIs a plus
