Data Analytics & BI with Tableau Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite) Duration: Full-time only Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Tableau BI Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable BI solutions using Tableau, AWS data services to support our data-driven decision-making processes. Configure Tableau site and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, integrity, and performance for analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence applications in an Agile environment. Must Have Technical/Functional Skills • BI development experience using Tableau, AWS data services (Redshift, RDS, Athena, Glue). • Expertise in SQL and data modeling and experience with relational databases (e.g., Redshift, RDS, Databricks). SQL Expertise: • Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and optimization. • Ability to write complex SQL queries, including subqueries, joins, window functions, and CTEs. • Experience with database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata or Oracle. • Performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures. • Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration. Tableau Expertise: • Strong skills in Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations. • Ability to connect Tableau to various data sources and build real-time, data-driven insights. • Proficiency in creating calculated fields, parameters, and leveraging Tableau's advanced visualization features. • Experience in designing user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards. Supply Chain Domain Knowledge: • Strong grasp of supply chain processes, including inventory management, procurement, and logistics. • Ability to define and track supply chain-specific KPIs and metrics. Additional Skills • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts. • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python or R) for data analysis is a plus. • Strong problem-solving and data interpretation abilities. • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to stakeholders. Roles & Responsibilities • Requirements gathering and stakeholder interviews to define personas, use cases, metrics, KPIs, and data sources. • Data profiling and assessment of data quality, completeness, and lineage for identified source systems. • Configure Tableau site access. • Create projects, maintain users, permissions to dashboard sources, workbooks. • Setup permissions structure to work with site roles. • Add users to dashboard and Tableau site. • Maintain data sources and manage data source permissions and refresh schedules. • Analyze site usage and performance. • Implementation of visualizations for agreed metrics and KPIs. • Basic performance tuning and optimization for dashboard load times. • Documentation: requirements, design, ETL spec, user guide. • Knowledge transfer session(s) for end users. • In addition to having the knowledge required to perform the above activities: • Must have minimum 2 years of Tableau site administrator experience. • Must have minimum 4 years of experience with complex data environments including advanced SQL and data modeling. o Must be proficient in transforming complex data into actionable business insights and troubleshooting issues in analytics. o Consistently adopt best practices to ensure data accuracy and accountability.
