We are supporting a global life sciences organisation on a critical infrastructure lifecycle programme across its international data center estate. Due to increased workload across multiple global sites, we are looking for a Senior Data Center Infrastructure Engineer / Technical Lead to coordinate hardware lifecycle replacements and support infrastructure change activities.LogisticsRole: Freelance Senior Data Center Infrastructure EngineerContract: 12 months (extension likely)Location: Breda (Hybrid – approx. 3 days/week on-site)Languages: Dutch & EnglishStart Date: ASAP / FlexibleRate: € (Competitive & negotiable)ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate lifecycle replacement activities for data center infrastructure across multiple global sitesCoordinate remote replacement of infrastructure equipment, including switches, routers, circuits, appliances, Nutanix hardware, UPS systems, and PDUsPerform impact assessments and plan outage windows to minimise disruption to production systemsPrepare and validate technical prerequisites such as power, cabling, network connectivity, and resource availabilityGuide remote hands, contractors, and local technicians during infrastructure implementation activitiesFollow structured change management processes and documentation standardsCommunicate planned activities, risks, and progress to internal infrastructure teams and stakeholdersMaintain accurate technical documentation and provide regular status reportingProvide on-site assistance within the Breda data centers when requiredRequired Skills10+ years experience within data center, hosting, or telecommunications environmentsStrong hands-on experience with data center infrastructure and hardware lifecycle activitiesGood understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, and firewallsExperience working with data center power infrastructure such as UPS and PDU systemsExperience coordinating technical work across remote teams, contractors, and on-site techniciansFamiliarity with change management processes, SOPs, and operational documentationStrong communication and organisational skillsOther Desired SkillsKnowledge of Windows and Linux server environmentsExperience with Nutanix infrastructureFamiliarity with Cormant CableSolve or RF-Code Asset ManagerExperience working in large, globally distributed infrastructure environmentsInterested?
