Data Center Lead Apply
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Lead to oversee and manage low voltage installation projects inside mission-critical data center environments. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of structured cabling, project coordination, and crew supervision to ensure all systems are installed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage field crews in the installation of low voltage systems, including:

Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber)

Interpret and work from blueprints, project specifications, and site plans.

Coordinate daily tasks and schedules to ensure timely project completion.

Perform quality control inspections on cabling, terminations, labeling, and pathways.

Interface with general contractors, clients, and data center personnel to resolve issues and ensure alignment with project goals.

Ensure all work is performed according to local code, safety guidelines, and company standards.

Maintain accurate records of materials, labor hours, and progress reports.

Train, mentor, and supervise technicians and installers on best practices and safety compliance.

Oversee tool and material usage to prevent waste and ensure availability.
Qualifications:

3 5 years of experience in low voltage/data cabling
-
Experience working in live data center environments is required.

Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA standards, cable routing, terminations, and testing.

Familiarity with fiber optic cabling, patch panels, cable trays, and rack installations.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Comfortable working in high-security, climate-controlled environments.

OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

BICSI certification is a plus.
Requirements:

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Comfortable with physical tasks: climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if needed.
