Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Lead to oversee and manage low voltage installation projects inside mission-critical data center environments. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of structured cabling, project coordination, and crew supervision to ensure all systems are installed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage field crews in the installation of low voltage systems, including:

  • Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber)

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, project specifications, and site plans.

  • Coordinate daily tasks and schedules to ensure timely project completion.

  • Perform quality control inspections on cabling, terminations, labeling, and pathways.

  • Interface with general contractors, clients, and data center personnel to resolve issues and ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Ensure all work is performed according to local code, safety guidelines, and company standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of materials, labor hours, and progress reports.

  • Train, mentor, and supervise technicians and installers on best practices and safety compliance.

  • Oversee tool and material usage to prevent waste and ensure availability.

Qualifications:

  • 3 5 years of experience in low voltage/data cabling

  • Experience working in live data center environments is required.

  • Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA standards, cable routing, terminations, and testing.

  • Familiarity with fiber optic cabling, patch panels, cable trays, and rack installations.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable working in high-security, climate-controlled environments.

  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

  • BICSI certification is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Comfortable with physical tasks: climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if needed.
