Data Center Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking to hire a motivated Data Center Technician to support daily operations in a high‑availability data center environment. This

role is well‑suited for individuals who enjoy hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, and maintaining critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate

has experience working with hardware, cabling, and general IT systems, and thrives in a structured, fast‑paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install and maintain structured cabling, including Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber‑optic connections.
• Perform hardware installation tasks such as racking servers, network switches, and power equipment.
• Conduct troubleshooting for connectivity issues, hardware failures, and environmental alerts.
• Support the deployment of new infrastructure by preparing racks, mounting equipment, and performing cable routing.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school or certifications are a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or related IT support roles.
• Familiarity with common data center hardware (servers, switches, PDUs, cabling components).

Preferred Skills

• Experience using cable testers, labelers, and fiber inspection tools.
• Knowledge of basic Linux or Windows command line operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
