Overview Description: Lead Technician with 5+ years of Lead or Management experience in a data center. Team will be handling troubleshooting of large GPU deployments inside an enterprise DC environment. Responsibilities Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission Run/Label/Stage Power & Networking Cables DBD removal only (does not perform any scanning) Follow procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads Prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, standard procedures, and with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) Role Summary The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. Job Responsibilities Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs Operate spreadsheet programs and other software to load and manipulate data and produce reports Qualifications Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training preferred Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills Basic ability to work independently and manage one\'s time Additional Skills & Details Data center, Cable, Cabling, Hardware Top Skills Details: Data center, Cable, Cabling, Hardware Team needs to be open to Red Oak A side and B side DAYS The lead will be Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm Former MSFT experience is PREFERRED Look for GDCU on their resume or ask about that experience (ticketing system) Look for former Dell/HP techs who worked in MSFT DCs in the past Job Type, Location & Compensation This is a Contract position based out of Red Oak, TX. Pay range: $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be limited by plan terms. Eligible benefits may include Medical, dental & vision; 401(k); Life Insurance; Disability; Health Spending Account; Transportation benefits; PTO/Vacation/Sick Leave; and other programs.
