In this role, you will help create a unified data architecture that supports real-time decision making and historical data analysis in a manufacturing environment.In this role you will play a key role in:Consulting with stakeholders to refine user requirements and functional specificationsDesigning and implementing a Unified Namespace (UNS) to organize industrial dataDeveloping scalable, performant data pipelines to extract, enrich, and publish data in real-timeCreating custom software components to expose data from previously isolated systemsMentoring junior developers and providing technical guidanceOptimizing pipeline performance (latency, throughput, reliability)Your profileMaster's degree in computer science, engineering, automation, or related field5+ years of work experience in software development or data engineeringDeep understanding of Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture and implementationExperience with "DataOps" systems (e.g., HighByte, Apache NiFi, Litmus, HiveMQ)Proficiency with message broker technology (Kafka, Active MQ), caching systems (Redis), and databases (SQL and NoSQL)Knowledge of automation/equipment protocols (MODBUS, OPC UA, S7, etc.)Experience with DevOps practices, containerization, and version controlWhat you'll love about working hereAt Capgemini Belgium we offer flexibility in more than one way: next to our hybrid way of working, where we offer you can work 70% from home, we also offer our flex abroad program.
