Job Title: Data Engineer

Job Description:
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for leading data-driven initiatives and implementing advanced analytical solutions within the Nuclear IT division. This role requires a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and nuclear industry knowledge to drive decision-making and optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, development, and deployment of data analytics solutions to support nuclear operations and decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to understand data needs and develop effective solutions.
Implement data pipelines, data warehousing, and ETL processes to ensure high-quality and accessible data.
Design and build strong foundational data pipelines for AI initiatives (Structured and Unstructured data)..
Knowledge of real-time and IOT data is a plus.
Lead different data management efforts (Data quality, Data Governance, Retention, Privacy and Data Security)
Develop advanced analytical models and algorithms to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in data practices.
Provide level 3 support to current Power BI reports.
Strong in Python, Spark, Pyspark, AWS Glue.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role, with a strong emphasis on the nuclear industry.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes (Glue, Talend), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to nuclear data management and security.

Preferred Skills:
Spark, API, Python, AWS DMS, Microsoft Co-pilot, Microsoft Studio.
Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in the nuclear sector is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and their data services.
Experience with PostGres, Redshift, Elastic Search and Neo4J.
