About the Role

We’re working with a growing organization looking to add a Data Engineer to support the design and development of scalable data infrastructure.

This role is focused on building efficient data pipelines, optimizing databases, and ensuring data is accessible and reliable for analytics and reporting.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations
• Design and maintain relational databases and data warehouse structures
• Improve performance through query tuning, indexing, and schema optimization
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to support analytics and reporting needs
• Maintain clear documentation of data models, pipelines, and workflows

What They’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role
• Strong expertise in:
• Advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, query optimization)
• Relational databases and data modeling
• Experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar
• Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB)
• Experience with big data tools (Spark, Kafka)
• Relevant certifications in cloud or data engineering
