We are looking for a detail-driven Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Bakersfield, California. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a manufacturing company while collaborating with multiple departments. The ideal candidate will showcase strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.


Responsibilities:

• Process and record customer payments, ensuring accuracy in cash receipt entries and account balances.

• Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, and Sales teams to support invoicing and sales adjustments.

• Maintain clear and detail-oriented communication with sales representatives and AR clerks to resolve discrepancies and address concerns.

• Generate accurate financial reports highlighting any inconsistencies or errors.

• Provide administrative assistance to the Accounts Receivable Department as required.

• Follow up with customers on outstanding payments and collections in a timely manner.

• Handle customer inquiries and ensure excellent service to maintain positive relationships.

• Identify and address any discrepancies in financial records, ensuring correctness in reporting.

• Support the team with additional tasks related to accounts receivable operations.

• At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable or a related field.
• Proven ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to professionally address concerns.
• Proficient in customer service practices and maintaining positive relationships.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and departments.
• Confidence to assertively address discrepancies or concerns while maintaining professionalism.
• Familiarity with accounting software or systems is preferred.
