The Blood Bank of Hawaii is seeking a Data Entry Clerk to join our Collections team. This role involves entering donor information into our Blood Establishment Computer System (BECS) while following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You’ll also be responsible for updating donor demographic details as required. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Process Donor History Questionnaires (DHQs) for donations and deferrals. Reconcile DHQs with transport forms and inspect them for accuracy. Search for existing donors or create new records in BECS. Register donations, deferrals, and update demographic information. Verify the accuracy of entered data and resolve discrepancies. Reconcile registrations and samples for testing. File and retrieve DHQs as needed. Ensure the quality of records before imaging and confirm accuracy of imaged files before destroying originals. Run system queries and generate reports as required. Additional Duties: Support other team tasks as assigned. Skills and Competencies: Typing speed: 45–50 words per minute. Attention to detail: Ensure high levels of accuracy and follow-through. Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills. Problem‑solving: Ability to assess, clarify, and resolve issues. Interpersonal skills: Ability to work with diverse individuals and provide excellent customer service. Time management: Handle tasks effectively under time constraints. Teamwork: Collaborate productively while working independently when needed. Regulatory understanding: Ability to learn and apply procedural requirements. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office preferred. Other Requirements: Professional appearance and business demeanor. Good attendance and schedule flexibility to meet deadlines. Job Types: Part – Time Pay: $16.53 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week Schedule: Location: #J-18808-Ljbffr
