We are looking for a meticulous Data Entry Keyer to join our team! In this position, you will be responsible for entering data into databases and spreadsheets from various sources, including checks, reports, and bills. A key aspect of your duties will be ensuring that information is organized and easily accessible at all times. You’ll also confirm data accuracy by comparing it with original documents and correcting any errors.
The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills. They should be self-driven, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities include:
- Enter data into databases and spreadsheets using details from checks, reports, and bills.
- Maintain and organize data to ensure easy access at all times.
- Verify data accuracy by cross-referencing it with original documents to identify and correct errors.
- Ensure data matches its corresponding source for accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies or mistakes in the data, correct inconsistencies when possible, and review the final output for accuracy.
- Collect additional information to complete any incomplete documents.
- Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup procedures.
- Scan documents and print files as needed.
- Ensure all information remains confidential at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Keyer or a similar position
- Familiarity with general administrative tasks
- Proficiency in operating office equipment, such as printers and scanners
- Excellent typing skills with both speed and precision
- Strong grasp of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality
- High school diploma; additional certifications or computer training are a plus
