Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team responsible for the Over-the-Air (OTA) Modernization process.
This role will focus on hardening and improving the existing semiautomated data migration pipeline, which is critical for delivering software updates to customer vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development with Python and Java, experience with data manipulation and validation, and a desire to work on complex, large-scale systems. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including project teams and customer design/release engineers.

Responsibilities:
Enhance & Maintain Existing Pipeline: Strengthen the current OTA Modernization data migration process, which consists of 7 steps, involving Python scripting and Java code.

Data Quality & Integrity: Develop and implement solutions to reduce manual data correction efforts currently required by the project team and customer engineers. Focus on improving data integrity and error handling within the pipeline.
Algorithm Optimization: Work with existing custom branch and bound algorithms used for field analysis to optimize performance and accuracy. System Integration: Integrate with and leverage data from various customers proprietary systems.
JFROG Integration: Maintain and enhance the process of loading vehicle software binaries into the JFROG repository with associated metadata.
SRP & VRTMS Support: Contribute to the creation of Software Release Packages (SRPs) and Vehicle Package Trees (VRTMS), ensuring data accuracy and adherence to release schedules.
Vehicle Bootstrapping: Support the process of sending commands to connected vehicles to enable pull-based OTA updates.
Collaboration: Work closely with customer design and release engineers, as well as internal project teams, to resolve issues and implement improvements. Documentation: Create and maintain clear, concise documentation of code, processes, and configurations.
Testing: Implement and execute unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the data migration pipeline.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and Java is essential.
Data Handling: Strong experience with data manipulation, validation, and cleansing techniques.
Version Control: Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of relevant software development experience.
Preferred Skills:
Automotive Experience: Experience with automotive software development, particularly in the area of OTA updates.
DevOps Practices: Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Data Modeling: Experience with data modeling and database design.
Experience with JFROG Artifactory: Knowledge of managing and integrating with JFROG Artifactory.
