What You'll Do

Job Title: Data Migration Specialist (Google Docs & Google Spreadsheets to Coda)

Job Type: Contract (Short-Term)

Pay rate: $20/hr - $25/hr ( DOE )

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist to assist in migrating data from Google Docs and Google Spreadsheets into Coda. This project involves transferring structured and unstructured data while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility in the new system. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data migration processes, familiarity with Coda, and an eye for detail to avoid data loss or inconsistencies during the migration.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the current structure of data in Google Docs and Google Spreadsheets and assess for migration readiness.
  • Develop and execute a migration plan to transfer data to Coda efficiently.
  • Clean and prepare data for migration to ensure a smooth transition and compatibility with Coda's structure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all necessary data and documents are correctly identified for migration.
  • Map out data fields between Google Suite products and Coda, ensuring accurate alignment and functionality.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure data integrity and correctness post-migration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any migration-related issues, minimizing downtime and disruption.
  • Provide post-migration support, including training on using Coda for relevant team members.
  • Create documentation for the migration process, including data mapping, troubleshooting steps, and any other relevant details.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with data migration, particularly with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Coda.
  • Strong understanding of Coda's features and functionality.
  • Experience with data mapping, data cleaning, and ensuring data integrity during migrations.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and integrations with other platforms.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle large sets of data with precision.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills to address migration challenges efficiently.
  • Experience in process documentation and providing post-migration support/training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management or leading small teams in migration efforts.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation to streamline data transfer processes.
  • Previous experience with other data management tools or platforms beyond Coda.
