Primary Responsibilities include: • Convert preliminary logical data model to 3rd normal form physical model • Perform data modeling for new relational database; collaborate with team lead/senior designer to create data solutions for business and systems requirements. • Adhere to, and enforce, data standards and best practices. • Attend requirements gathering meetings with team lead, senior designer, application teams, Database Administrators (DBAs), and/or business partners to understand business needs. Create Functional & Technical Documentation for all database structures. • Support application teams with data identification and analysis. • Convert logical data model to physical model and database in development environment; transition to DBAs for test and production environments. • Create and maintain Metadata, including table/column definitions. • Prepare, maintain and publish documentation, including business transformation logic (Source-to-Target Mappings), data models and data dictionary reports.
