This role will center on a high-impact project designed to enhance our predictive pricing models. The primary focus will be developing a historical weather feature using local weather data to improve demand forecasting and enable more dynamic, weather-informed pricing strategies. Depending on the intern’s skill level and progress, additional opportunities may include analyzing paid spend performance within the Google Ads environment and contributing to the development of a “Google Trends” machine learning feature to further strengthen our predictive modeling capabilities. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world machine learning initiatives that directly influence revenue and pricing decisions. Key Responsibilities Develop and engineer historical weather data features to enhance predictive demand models. Integrate external data sources into existing machine learning workflows. Support model testing, validation, and performance analysis. Analyze data within the Google Ads environment to identify trends and optimization opportunities. Contribute to the development of additional machine learning features, including potential Google Trends integrations. Create clear data visualizations and reporting outputs to communicate findings to stakeholders. Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Profile Currently enrolled in a degree program. Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems. Experience (academic or professional) with Python and SQL. Familiarity with machine learning workflows, including data preparation, feature engineering, and model evaluation. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Smart, hardworking, curious, and proactive, with a positive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when appropriate .
