Data Science Software Engineer ABC Supply, the nation’s largest distributor of select exterior and interior building products, is currently seeking a Data Science Software Engineer to deliver analytics solutions for the enterprise. ABC has built a world class platform in Azure using Data Lake, Databricks and Snowflake. You will be working on the leading edge of data/model engineering. As a member of the Enterprise Analytics team at ABC you will be delivering high impact solutions driven by our executive leadership. The Engineer will report to the Enterprise Analytics Engineering Manager, partners with BI and Data Engineers, Analysts, Data Scientists, business stakeholders and Enterprise Analytics leadership. This role will be focusing on delivering a unified experience for our internal customers. ABC leverages rapid application tools to deploy applications to support our data science solutions. You will be a key resource to partner with our product delivery teams in creating the application experience we need to support our prescriptive and predictive solutions. Core responsibilities include: Developing and delivering micro-app-based features to support the client platform Building core platform components that can be re-used within our application ecosystem Provide solutions that are not accommodated by the application framework Mendix Working with team members to build the pipelines for our models and reference data to be exposed in the application. Leveraging tools that support DevOps principles and transformation Supporting the application lifecycles by facilitating releases Interested candidates should have proven experience with the following technologies and methodologies: Modern Web Development JavaScript HTML and CSS DevOps best practices Experience with data engineering with python is a huge plus. Experience with React, Azure DevOps, GIT, and cloud-based applications (especially Microsoft Azure), are preferred but not required Supplementing their technical expertise, interested candidates should also bring to the table, and be able to demonstrate, behaviors in line with our culture such as: Craving and solving difficult problems Taking calculated risks Being bold Being resilient Embracing diversity of thought to drive enriched client experiences Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is required. A high school diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted. Prefer recent experience using cloud engineering toolsets. Must be able to write with a modern programming language fluently. Prefer experience with python or java. Possess strong business acumen and consistently demonstrates forward thinking.
