Job Title : Data Scientist - Statistical Analysis & Modeling (Tableau, SQL, Python)
Job Type : W2 / C2C
Experience : 7-25 years
Location : ELK Grove, California
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Tableau used on a weekly basis.
- Proven experience in probabilistic and statistical modeling, experimental design, and causal inference.
- Demonstrated ability to move beyond data exploration to derive robust, actionable insights.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and modeling.
- Past Apple experience is a Plus.
- Look for only product base experience profiles
- Advanced skills in Python or R for statistical analysis and visualization.
- Expertise in creating interactive dashboards with Tableau.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex analyses to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Statistical Analysis & Causal Modeling :
- Perform formal statistical analyses to uncover meaningful patterns and relationships.
- Apply causal modeling techniques to identify cause-and-effect relationships within data.
- Design and analyze experiments to test hypotheses and validate findings.
2. Data Manipulation & Modeling :
- Use SQL to manipulate large datasets and build reliable data models.
- Ensure data integrity and optimize data retrieval processes.
3. Programming & Visualization :
- Utilize Python or R for advanced statistical modeling and data visualization.
- Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
4. Interactive Dashboards
- Develop interactive visualizations and dashboards using Tableau.
- Present data insights in an accessible and user-friendly format for stakeholders.
5. Communication :
- Translate complex statistical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform decision-making processes.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
