Our client has an immediate need for an experienced Data Validation Tester to support a short-term, high-priority initiative. This 3-month contract role will focus on validating data accuracy, ensuring system integrity, and executing automated and manual tests across APIs and user interfaces to support reliable software releases. This position works closely with development, product, and business stakeholders to confirm data correctness, uncover defects early, and maintain quality standards in fast-moving delivery environments. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and execute automated and manual test scenarios with a strong emphasis on data validation and accuracy Validate data flows across systems, APIs, and databases to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements Develop and maintain reusable test scripts and test assets to improve efficiency and coverage Execute API tests and validate request/response payloads, transformations, and downstream data impacts Perform UI and backend validation to confirm end-to-end system behavior Document defects clearly with evidence, reproduction steps, and validation results Track test execution results and re-verify fixes to ensure resolution meets acceptance criteria Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and blockers Analyze moderate to complex defects to identify root causes and assist with troubleshooting Collaborate with team members to estimate testing effort and align on execution plans Ensure test plans and validation approaches stay aligned with evolving business needs Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of hands‑on quality assurance and software testing experience 5+ years of experience building and executing automated tests Strong experience validating data accuracy across systems , APIs, and databases Hands‑on experience using tools such as Postman for API testing Experience with both UI automation and API automation Proficiency with Java for developing automated test scripts Experience using Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Rest Assured, and Git Familiarity with automation design patterns such as Page Object Model Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools Strong understanding of QA best practices, testing methodologies, and SDLC processes Experience working in Agile and Waterfall development environments Comfortable working across operating systems and standard productivity tools Preferred Experience Exposure to financial services or data‑intensive systems Experience validating complex datasets and transactional systems Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration (Azure DevOps a plus) Key Skills & Attributes Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy and consistency Highly organized and able to manage multiple testing priorities Proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Ability to adapt communication style when interacting with senior leadership Compensation: $40 to $42 an hour Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
