We are hiring Data Visualization Consultant to join one of our major clients based in Abu Dhabi.Employment Type - 6 months and extendable contractJob Location - Fully remote (Client is in Dubai, UAE)Job Purpose:The Data Visualization Designer / Data Storyteller is responsible for transforming complex data into compelling visual narratives and insightful dashboards. This role works closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and decision-makers to design intuitive, impactful, and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports that drive data-driven decision making.Key Accountabilities:Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that convey key insights and metrics.Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and translate them into impactful visual solutions.Transform raw data into meaningful visual narratives, enhancing comprehension and storytelling.Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance optimization within Power BI solutions.Apply best practices in data visualization, UX design, and user interactivity.Maintain and update existing dashboards and provide enhancements based on feedback.Create prototypes and mockups for new dashboards or data stories.Work with data engineers and analysts to integrate data sources and define KPIs.Document dashboard logic, structure, and user instructions for self-service access.Train business users on dashboard usage and interpretation.Job Context:Works within cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and engineers.Supports data storytelling and visualization needs across departments and leadership levels.Contributes to the organization's data literacy and data-driven culture.Qualifications, Experience & Skills:4+ years of experience in designing data visualizations and dashboards, with strong expertise in Power BI.Exceptional data storytelling skills with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics.Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service for report publishing and sharing.Ability to translate complex datasets into easy-to-understand insights.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) is a plus.Understanding of data modeling and relational databases.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Design, Business Intelligence, or related field.
