Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Database Administrator (DBA) / Data Architect to join our team.
The primary focus of this role is to lead data mapping and migration efforts, consolidating acquisitions into a unified database instance.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data, ensuring a seamless integration process.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead data mapping and migration activities to merge acquired databases into a single, cohesive instance.
  • Design and implement effective ETL processes for efficient data transformation and loading.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into database solutions.
  • Utilize expertise in SQL Server and related tools to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and implement SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading purposes.
  • Collaborate with a small team and independently manage tasks to meet project timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring a reliable and scalable database environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or Data Architect with a focus on SQL Server.
  • Expertise in SQL syntax, scripting, and data transformation techniques.
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment and independently when necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach to identify and address potential issues before they impact the project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SQL Server and related tools.
  • Previous experience in data mapping and migration projects is highly desirable.
