Role: Database Administrator IV - EDW Location: 100% Remote- Only West Coast candidates Duration : 6+ months Required Expert Knowledge in Data Warehouse Modeling: Experience in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models Experience with modeling tools such as Erwin and Toad Data Modeler. Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and performance optimization In-depth understanding of ETL best practices for data integration and transformation Familiarity with dimensional modeling techniques, including star and snowflake schemas, and fact/dimension tables Ability to design data structures optimized for analytical querying Creating and understanding SSIS packages Writing complex stored procedures and advanced SQL Developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in data flows Architect and develop ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server and other platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL) Design and modify database components (tables, indexes, constraints, stored procedures, functions) Work with a variety of data types and sources, including JSON, XML, HL7, cloud/web-based data, and Data Lakes Conduct code reviews and maintain code repositories (Azure DevOps) Desired Skills: Understanding of HIPAA requirements Healthcare industry experience Agile methodology knowledge Scrum Master certification Project management experience Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps Familiarity with Data Vault architecture Experience with Microsoft Azure Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing tools (AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge of JSON and other semi-structured data formats Position Summary: The Database Administrator IV is responsible for leading all aspects of the organization's database management strategy, ensuring integrity, performance, and reliability. This includes database design, development of ETL processes, optimization, maintenance, and mentoring of development teams. This role also plays a key part in setting technical standards, refining project management methodologies, and collaborating across departments to promote efficiency and data governance. Technical: Technical Expertise Required: Advanced knowledge of ANSI SQL (T-SQL preferred)
