Database Administrator - Journeyman

Database Administrator (Journeyman) Significance has an opportunity for a Database Administrator (Journeyman) who will support resolution of issues with production transaction and interface files, fine‑tune database indexes and storage configurations, patches, and version upgrades. The role is responsible for configuration and administrative activities related to Oracle Database, ZFS, LVM, and Exadata. Responsibilities Support resolution of issues with production transaction and interface files. Fine‑tune database indexes, storage configurations, patches, and version upgrades. Configuring and administrating Oracle Database, ZFS, LVM, and Exadata environments. Qualifications 4+ years experience in database administration principles and practical experience. Bachelor's degree. Active DoD Secret clearance. Strong understanding of database concepts, including relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and database design. Ability to write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Experience with Oracle DBMS. Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages like Python or Bash. Experience with shift day schema management, backups, and patching. Familiarity with cloud‑based database services such as Oracle Cloud Database, AWS RDS, and Azure SQL Database. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra. Current Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate certificate. Compensation Our base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
