About the role Kaimetrix is seeking a Database Administrator – Level IV to provide senior-level leadership and technical oversight for enterprise database environments in a secure, mission-critical setting. This role is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, optimization, and sustainment of database management systems to ensure availability, integrity, performance, and security of critical data assets. What you'll do Provide overall responsibility for the design, implementation, administration, and sustainment of enterprise database systems Oversee the deployment and daily operation of database management systems, ensuring integrity, availability, and security align with mission requirements Lead database performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization efforts to ensure efficient and scalable data operations Implement and enforce robust database security controls and ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity standards Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to define data requirements, data flows, storage solutions, and system integrations Oversee system-level maintenance, upgrades, and patching activities to maintain a secure and operational posture Develop, review, and enforce database administration best practices, standards, and procedures across the environment Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, maintenance guides, and knowledge base artifacts for all database platforms Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to database administrators and supporting personnel Coordinate database-related activities across teams and act as a technical lead for database services Ensure the reliability, integrity, and security of all organizational data assets through proactive monitoring and management Qualifications Education/Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in database administration or related data management roles demonstrating advanced proficiency Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience Certifications: Advanced cybersecurity or database certification such as CISSP, CASP+, Microsoft Azure Data certification, Oracle Database Administration certification, or equivalent Clearance: Active Tier 3 (T3) background investigation or ability to obtain and maintain #J-18808-Ljbffr
