Piper Companies is seeking a Database Developer to support a major data engineering and performance modernization initiative within a large‑scale financial organization. This role will focus on database development, data pipelines, validation, and performance improvements. Candidates must be based in Merrimack, NH; Smithfield, RI; Jersey City, NJ; or Westlake, TX. Responsibilities of the Database Developer Design, optimize, and maintain Oracle SQL/PL‑SQL code, data models, and database APIs for high‑volume data workflows. Develop and enhance batch processes including ETL jobs, Informatica pipelines, and Autosys scheduling. Contribute to data acquisition, validation, performance calculations, and full lifecycle distribution processes across the program. Build automated testing, performance tuning solutions, and CI/CD‑ready database components aligned with ATDD principles. Qualifications of the Database Developer Deep expertise with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, API development, and performance tuning in large‑scale data environments. Hands‑on experience with ETL/Informatica, Autosys, and cloud technologies such as Snowflake and AWS S3. Strong understanding of scalable data‑application architecture, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD delivery pipelines. Ability to interpret requirements and develop robust database solutions while offering technical leadership or mentorship when needed.
