Our client, a premier manufacturing company of HVAC products, is looking for an Experienced Davenport/Screw Machine Operator. This is a great Direct Hire opportunity located in Aurora, IL
Pay Range: $26-$28/hr. (depending on experience)
Hours: 1st Shift 6:00am-2:30PM (OT when needed)
JOB DUTIES:
- Train to operate and run 1-2 screw machines at a time.
- Implement new production work orders.
- Quality inspects parts per department procedure
- Maintain machines by implementing daily preventative maintenance
- Learn to read and understand part drawings
- Reduce scrap, rework and cycle times
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work with Line Lead & Manufacturing Manager to resolve any tooling or set-up issues
- Comply with company procedures and follow PPE requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have previous experience operating/setting up Davenport/Screw Machines
- Basic knowledge of shop math
- Basic hand tool knowledge
- Become proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers and various measurement gages
- Must be open to variety of duties as needed
- 1-2 years of machining experience
- Must have good verifiable attendance record
- Must be quality conscious
