About the Role

The Dayshift Debone Supervisor oversees daily poultry deboning operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and USDA compliance are met. This role supervises staff, coordinates workflow, and ensures safety, efficiency, and proper training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and control workflow to ensure assignments are completed efficiently.

  • Meet or exceed departmental production and quality goals.

  • Supervise and train new and current employees.

  • Collaborate with USDA inspectors, Quality Control, and Shipping to meet regulatory and company standards.

  • Position employees to optimize ergonomics, cross-training, absentee coverage, and break schedules.

  • Promote positive employee relations in a multi-language workforce.

  • Oversee department cleanup to meet USDA and state requirements.

  • Monitor labor costs, packaging, and overall departmental efficiency.

  • Serve as a backup for the Shift Manager as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Business, Agricultural Science, or related field plus 2 years experience, or High School Diploma with 4+ years poultry processing experience.

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in poultry production.

  • Knowledge of poultry plant production processes.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • PC skills (MS Office) required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Wet, odorous environment with hot and cold temperatures.

  • Ability to enter all plant areas.

  • Physical activity includes cutting, pulling, and lifting 40+ lbs.

  • Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and government agencies.
