Job Title: (DBA) - Cloud & SQL (US Citizen Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage SQL databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Cloud-based databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, recovery, performance tuning, and updates.
  • Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, working closely with development teams and IT staff.
  • Implement and manage database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with developers to design and implement database schema, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Assist in database migration projects, including data import/export and cloud platform transitions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide support for database-related projects and initiatives, including capacity planning and scaling strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, AWS Certified Database - Specialty) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in SQL databases and Cloud-based database services.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL scripting, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their database services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Strong understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Federal Experience is a plus.
  • Required Security clearance.
