WHO WE ARE At Harvey Performance Company, we're more than a team; we're a community. Our thriving, dynamic, and rapidly expanding organization values community, celebrates success, and fosters personal and professional growth opportunities. Job Details We’re adding a DBA Developer to our Enterprise Data team to help support and scale a complex SQL Server environment. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll own the health, performance, and structure of our databases, while also contributing to development work that powers reporting and data movement across the business. This role exists because the environment has outgrown the current team. There’s a lot already built, but not enough bandwidth to stay ahead of everything. You’ll step in to help stabilize, improve, and expand what’s in place, working closely with a small, experienced team. Day to day, most of your time will lean toward core DBA work, keeping systems running, resolving issues, database and query performance, as well as maintaining uptime. Over time, you’ll collaborate with more development and project work, building data pipelines, data lake, data warehouse, supporting reporting, and helping shape how data flows across the organization. You’ll also get exposure to a wide range of systems and teams. This isn’t a sit‑in‑the‑corner DBA role. You’ll work with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, helping translate real problems into technical solutions. In This Role, You Will Manage SQL Server environments across Development, UAT, and Production, including setup, configuration, and patching Monitor system health and performance using tools like Redgate, DMVs, Extended Events, and Performance Monitor Troubleshoot issues and respond to alerts related to performance, failures, or data integrity Design and optimize database objects such as stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions Tune performance by analyzing execution plans and eliminating CPU and I/O bottlenecks Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and high‑availability strategies Automate routine tasks and maintenance using PowerShell and/or Python Support database needs for new systems, integrations, and internal projects Build and maintain ETL processes using T‑SQL and SSIS where needed Collaborate with developers and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions You’ll Bring 3+ years of experience in a SQL Server DBA or DBA/Developer role Strong core DBA skills, including backups, security, performance tuning, and environment management Solid T‑SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries and procedures Experience with SQL Server replication and general high‑availability concepts Hands‑on experience with PowerShell or Python for automation Ability to troubleshoot issues in a fast‑paced, production environment Comfortable working across teams and communicating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders A proactive mindset, someone who brings ideas and is willing to run with them Nice To Have Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, or Power BI Familiarity with Redgate tools or similar monitoring platforms Experience working with ERP or CRM databases (Epicor, Prophet21, SAP, Salesforce, etc.) Exposure to data integration tools like Theobald Xtract or dbAmp Experience working in a manufacturing or multi‑system environment Interest in expanding into more database development over time Where You’ll Work This is a hybrid role based out of our Rowley, Massachusetts location. The team works primarily remote, with in‑office time a few times each month for collaboration, team connection, and working sessions. You’ll be part of a small, highly collaborative group, supporting a complex data environment while working closely with teams across the business. #J-18808-Ljbffr
