Overview We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Database Management Contractor to support our data infrastructure across multiple platforms, including MS SQL Server, AWS RDS MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Amazon Redshift. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database development, performance tuning, monitoring, and migration projects, and will be comfortable working independently on mission-critical database tasks. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize databases on AWS RDS MySQL/PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift Manage and support MS SQL Server environments, including T-SQL scripting, SQL Agent jobs, and EC2-hosted instances Perform data migration and transformation between MS SQL Server, RDS MySQL, and Redshift Monitor database performance and health using tools like Datadog Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity, security, and availability Document processes and provide recommendations for database improvements Required Skills & Experience 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS RDS, MySQL, and Amazon Redshift (development, tuning, monitoring, maintenance) 2+ years of experience with MS SQL Server technology, including T-SQL, SQL Agent jobs, and EC2 Proven experience in database/data migration between MS SQL Server and AWS RDS/Redshift Familiarity with Datadog for monitoring and alerting Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty) Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines #J-18808-Ljbffr
