Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:
- State certification and credentials to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Proven experience delivering instruction to learners with hearing differences in school settings
- Mastery of various communication methods, including American Sign Language (ASL), auditory/oral approaches, and total communication
- Strong ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies based on individual IEPs
- Comfortable collaborating with general and special education staff, families, and interpreters
- Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement customized instruction to address the academic, language, and social needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Assess, monitor, and document student growth, adjusting strategies as needed for optimal progress
- Contribute to the development and delivery of IEPs as a critical team member
- Provide support and recommendations to classroom teachers and school staff regarding accommodations and inclusive practices
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students, connecting families to services and community resources
- Maintain a positive, culturally responsive classroom environment
