Job Description
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

What you'll bring:
- Hold current certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education.
- Demonstrated experience or formal training as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Strong knowledge of language development, auditory training, and adaptive instructional strategies.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons and materials to varied learning needs and communication modalities.
- Collaborative spirit for working alongside general education teachers, aides, and related service providers.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging, individualized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, using methods tailored to their communication preferences.
- Conducting assessments to monitor and support student progress.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs.
- Providing consultation and support to classroom teachers and support staff to facilitate an inclusive educational environment.
- Communicating with families to share student successes, address challenges, and offer resources.
- Advocating for accessible learning environments and supportive services as needed.
