Demand PlannerUse company forecasting and SAP/APO systems to manage demand planning for multi-location, multi-customer network. Use Supply Chain Management (SCM) principles to comprehend all factors that can influence and affect the forecast, and communicate these factors to Sales, Marketing, & Operations. Plan, order and control inventory. Design, develop, test, maintain and support fulfillment systems for the supply planning group. Participate in all aspects of systems development, including project management.Responsibilities include:Use SAP/APO systems to manage demand planning for a multi-location network.Use Supply Chain Management (SCM) principles to comprehend all factors that can influence and affect the forecast, and communicate these factors to Sales, Marketing, & Operations.Lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning process from demand consensus building with sales and marketing through to agreement on supply/inventory plan with senior leadership.Continuously identify and develop areas for improvement related to monthly forecasting process.Perform trend analysis to report inconsistencies with forecasts and actual sales.Create and maintain performance metrics comparing forecasts to actual sales taking into consideration the lag analysis.Maintain statistically generated forecasts and related parameters.Assist in the monthly Consensus Forecasting Process.Participate in the development of inventory and service level strategy to ensure departmental Sales Forecast Accuracy (SFA) targets are met.Participate in development processes and system enhancements and implementations.Develop necessary tools to help continually ensure data integrity of inventory, part number maintenance and planning throughout the supply planning system.Keep abreast of changes to industry and look to improve processes.Scope factors include:Continuously improve forecasting processes to improve forecast accuracy.Plan, purchase and control several thousand (~13-20k) inventory items.Decisions may significantly impact income, expenses, operations, associates, relations, and customer relations.Erratic sales patterns.Ever increasing demands from customers.Contribute and participate in cross-functional teams performing a variety of functions.Independently analyze and solve problems of moderate complexity, utilizing more senior level staff for guidance on difficult and complex assignmentsProfile requirements include:BS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or other related field2+ years business experience, including at least 1 year with supply chain and logistics functions such as demand planning, production planning, and distribution planning in an automotive or consumer products business with emphasis on forecasting and statisticsSAP/APO previous experience is a plusExcellent communication skills, strong process development skillsStrong Forecast Management systems skills (JDA, I2 Technologies, NewMetrics, SAP, Oracle, Logility)Strong analytical skillsDetail and multi-task orientedAbility to complete projects in a timely mannerIndefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is not available.Potential to be either an E2 or E3. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
