Comprehensive Dental Care is looking for a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. What You'll Do
  • Assist the doctor chairside during a wide range of procedures
  • Set up and break down treatment rooms
  • Take dental radiographs
  • Maintain accurate clinical records
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA and CDC compliance
  • Provide patient education and post treatment instructions
  • Help create a smooth patient flow and positive experience
  • Support hygiene when needed
  • Manage lab cases and follow up on deliveries
Expanded Functions Responsibilities
  • Place and contour composite restorations (per Indiana EFDA guidelines)
  • Assist with temporary crowns and restorations
  • Take impressions and fabricate temporaries as permitted
  • Perform coronal polishing
  • Assist with additional expanded duties allowed under Indiana EFDA regulations

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a strong clinical team and contribute to a positive, professional environment


Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) Duties (if applicable and permitted by state law):

  • Placing and contouring amalgam restorations
  • Assisting with the placement and removal of temporary crowns and bridges
  • Performing preliminary orthodontic procedures, such as taking orthodontic records and impressions
  • Assisting with the placement and removal of periodontal dressings
  • Fabricating custom trays for fluoride and other dental materials
  • Performing essential dental lab procedures, such as pouring and trimming models and fabricating bleaching trays
Requirements:

• Dental assisting experience required
