KidSmile Dental is currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will perform clinical duties under the direction of a dentist.

Position Summary

You will be responsible for equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment procedures, and providing patients with post treatment instructions. You will enjoy working with children, and therefore must have an excellent work ethic, have compassion towards others, and have an outgoing personality, while maintaining a positive attitude. As a Dental Assistant you will be a committed and engaged team player serving others in our fast-paced environment.

Location: KidSmile Dental - 721 N. Pines Road, Suite 101, Spokane Valley, WA 99206

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Compensation: $18.00-22.00/hr (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Take and process dental X-rays
  • Treatment room and equipment preparation and sterilization
  • Chair-side assistance to Dentist during treatment procedures
  • Documents dental care services by charting in patients’ records
  • Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records, scheduling, etc.
  • Customer service skills to ensure patients are well informed and comfortable, before, during, and after their appointment, about their treatment and dental wellness
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces to ensure safety for everyone

Requirements

  • 1+ year of dental assisting experience
  • Active RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification
  • Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Ability to use common dental technology software
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Quick learner with problem solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Education

  • Graduate of a Dental Assistant program and/or have a Washington Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) valid registration
