Overview:
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Dental Director to lead and oversee the dental program at a well-established health center in Montgomery, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, leadership experience, and a passion for providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and manage the dental program and services

  • Supervise dental staff and ensure quality of care

  • Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients

  • Perform dental procedures to treat oral diseases and conditions

  • Maintain accurate dental records and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols

  • Coordinate peer reviews, emergency preparedness, and continuing education

  • Participate in management meetings and represent the dental program in conferences

  • Monitor provider productivity and assist with internal audits

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental school

  • Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Alabama

  • Possess a current Controlled Substance Registration Certificate

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in dental practice (private or employed)

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

  • Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills

  • Commitment to team collaboration and community health initiatives

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and speaking

  • Light lifting and general clinical physical activity required

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills

  • Experience managing clinical operations and compliance

  • Ability to engage with staff and patients from diverse backgrounds
