Position Summary
Provide support to department management, faculty, and adjunct faculty. Perform reception duties, prepare documents and reports, and respond to inquiries.

Physical Demands
The job responsibilities are performed in an office area and presentation venues. Travel by car required. The job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward (8 45 pounds). Typically requires regular use of one or more physical senses of medium intensity and long duration. Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy, and may be involved in some mildly unpleasant situations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Some post-secondary education from an accredited college or university AND at least one (1+) year of relevant experience; OR two or more (2+) years of relevant experience.
- Professional experience in an active, multi-tasked, automated work environment.
- Ability to work with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook or similar level applications at an intermediate level.
Preferred but not Required
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
Proposed Salary
According to the published support staff salary schedule, Classification Pay Grade 12, 2023-2024 hourly wage range, step one $17.56 to step six $23.22. Internal applicants may refer to Article 22, Section 5C.

Essential Function
Allied Health Programs Support
Description
- Advise on part-time faculty application information.
- Provide orientation and guidance to adjunct faculty.
- Schedule adjunct faculty for American Heart Association (AHA) and Continuing Ed courses from instructor list.
- Receive registration requests, determine appropriate response in terms of student and course registration rules.
- Build courses in response to requests.
- Work with Clinical Coordinator to build courses as needed.
- Cancel AHA courses as needed.
- Coordinate registration requests for company course participation.
- Grant permissions and prerequisite overrides as needed.
- Post grade results of AHA and Continuing Education Courses.
- Prepare and issue AHA Certification Cards and CE Chit sheets in compliance with AHA and the State of Michigan.
- Responsible for maintenance of all student files according to CAAHEP/CoAEMSP and State of Michigan Accreditation standards.
- Responsible for all AHA course and instructor records and materials.
- Provide reception and support to the Calhoun County Medical Control Authority (CCMCA) on a regular basis, including responsibility for meeting minutes and coordination and distribution of meeting information; organize quarterly meeting.

General Department and Program Support
Description
- Provide reception and appropriate confidential support to department management, faculty, staff, students and community.
- Collaborate with Chair to monitor course staffing and enrollment.
- Order, receive and process departmental supplies.
- Open, close, and maintain the department; serve as the department contact.
- Process check requests, faculty overload, payroll forms and other forms as needed.
- Coordinate book orders with faculty and bookstore to assure availability of textbooks.
- Compile data to develop/input the course schedule in adherence with college deadlines.
- Secure input from department staff regarding dates/times for courses to be offered each semester.
- Arrange meetings, programs, and events including facilities, catering, and invitations; coordinate event evaluation process.
