Departmental Technician 7-E9
This Department Technician position functions as a resource to local office management and staff for a variety of support activities in the Department of Human Services local office. This position serves as a troubleshooter pertaining to local office technical support functions and performs research and analysis for local office management. Provides training to other staff within the office and serves as the local offices liaison and primary contact to and from the Department of Information Technology.

This experienced levelDepartmental Technician position performs a variety of support activities for the Department of Health and Human Services at its statewide local offices. This position provides technical support functions for the local offices equipment, telephone system coordination, alarm and security systems, non-technical and limited technical system and problem detection, and reporting assistance. Conducts analysis, research, and completes special projects for the local office. Provides guidance to other staff within the office. Serves as the local offices liaison and primary contact to and from the Department of Information Technology.

Possession of a high school diploma or a GED Certificate.
ExperienceDepartmentalTechnician 7
One year of experience performing experienced-level administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
Departmental Technician 8One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing advanced-level administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.
Departmental Technician E9Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
OR
One year of experience performing advanced secretarial or supervisory administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
Departmental Technician 10Three years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced level in state service.
OR
Two years of experience performing advanced secretarial or supervisory administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
Departmental Technician 7
Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician 10
Possession of a Bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
The physical location of this position is Monroe-903 S. Telegraph Rd. Ste. A Monroe, Mi 48161. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:

- Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
