We are hiring a Deployment Engineer for Tidalis in Apeldoorn. This is a hands-on technical role within a mission-critical maritime software environment used by ports and governmental organizations.Tidalis, formerly part of Saab Marine Traffic Management, is a Dutch technology company specializing in maritime traffic and port management software. For many years, it operated as a division within Saab, delivering highly customized mission-critical systems to some of the largest ports and maritime authorities in the world.The focus has shifted towards building a standardized and modular SaaS platform that can serve a broader range of ports and maritime organizations globally.Tidalis develops systems that combine radar data, sensor inputs, communication protocols, security layers and operational workflows into one integrated maritime traffic management platform. Its customers include major ports, governmental agencies and, maritime authorities.The company has its headquarters in Apeldoorn and additional offices in Sweden, Canada and Hong Kong. The organization is currently modernizing its architecture, leadership structure and delivery model to support international growth while maintaining the deep domain expertise built over decades in the maritime sector.You will be part of a structured delivery team consisting of:Systems Engineers (define module-level implementation plans)Systems Architect (final architectural approval and end-to-end responsibility)Technical Project ManagersDeployment Engineers (execute integration and implementation)As a Deployment Engineer, you are responsible for implementing and integrating the Tidalis platform into customer environments. You ensure that the system runs correctly on existing infrastructure and hardware.Your responsibilities include:Installing and configuring Linux-based environmentsIntegrating software with radar systems, sensors, and networking infrastructureSupporting integration testing and system acceptance phasesTroubleshooting across infrastructure, network and application layersSupporting go-live activities on-site when requiredDeployment Engineers also handle updates and upgrades. As the platform transitions further into SaaS, these activities will gradually move toward service and support teams, allowing Deployment Engineers to focus more on complex new integrations and large-scale implementations.Requirements:Strong Linux knowledgeExperience with networking and infrastructureUnderstanding of hardware integration and communication protocolsExperience in system integration and troubleshootingComfortable working in structured environments with formal acceptance phasesImportant conditions:Salary between €4,600 and €5,700 gross per monthPermanent employmentNo visa sponsorship possibleOnly EU nationals or Turkish nationalsMust have lived in the EU for at least the past 4 years due to mandatory MIVD background screeningLocation: Apeldoorn, 4 days on siteIf you are interested, feel free to reach out for more details.
